Vanderbilt Industries, formerly Siemens Security Products, have offices across the world with over 300 employees. Their international presence means effective communications is crucial for staying connected and updated. “When building One Vanderbilt,” says Vanderbilt CIO Prof. Peter Müller, “harmonization between different parts of the organization is done smoothly with Efftel”.

Easier transition and growth

During the transition from Siemens to Vanderbilt, formal transfer of contracts as well as technical changes had to be carried out. At the same time, Vanderbilt built new offices in Paris and Madrid with the challenge to do it fast and uniting all offices under One Vanderbilt.

“Using Efftel, we have improved the speed of setting up new offices. That goes a bit easier now and that helps us to better integrate new acquisitions and branch offices”, says Peter Müller.

Along the way, Efftel’s flexible cloud services have facilitated rapid international growth without any complications. “Efftel has been very responsive and supportive during the change”, says Peter.

Handling different requirements in different countries

During Siemens time, each branch was managed independently. Many different parties and network providers were involved, requiring additional efforts to coordinate lines and numbers between branches. “Efftel took this over and worked it out well”, Peter adds. “They solved it fine and we are happy that Efftel organized this”.

Need to solve communications issues promptly

For Vanderbilt to provide quality customer service, any communications issue with external and internal parties has to be solved promptly.

“When we contact Efftel Support, they swiftly address the issues and solve any problems professionally and smoothly”, mentions Peter. “Efftel is very pragmatic. We have a high degree of satisfaction from working with Efftel”.

More time for the important things

It is now easier to focus on core issues. “I am always very happy of Efftel taking care of any problem and issue related to our telecommunications.  It helps me slow down and gives me time to work with other things I need to do, such as handling complaints and potential changes of different providers”, Peter concludes.

Valued partner relationship

So, as a partner of Vanderbilt, does Efftel live up to its promises? “Yes”, Peter replies, “they are experienced and feel stable and secure to work with. Rather than being in a buyer-seller relationship, Efftel is our business partner who is caring and dedicated”.

For example, when Vanderbilt needed a solution to offer free support for premium sales partners around the World, Efftel implemented a gate-keeper function to solve that. Whereas regular partners call a public premium-rate number to get support, premium partners now call a special VIP number. There, the gate-keeper function maps the caller’s phone number with the VIP number list before passing the caller on to the support agents. If the number is not recognized, the caller is requested to key in a PIN code before being transferred to the support agents.

“I will recommend Efftel to other companies”

“I would definitely recommend and promote Efftel to other companies”, Peter adds. “I will do so especially to those who value an e-communications partner that cares for them, is reliable and works hard for the customer’s best.”

“I am always very happy of Efftel taking care of any problem or issue. It helps me slow down and gives me time to work with other things I need to do, such as handling complaints and potential changes of different providers.”
